Not all spray foam materials are vapour retarders. Open-celled products do not provide the required vapour permeance properties to be considered a vapour barrier. However, Boreal Nature Elite closed-cell spray foam is a stand-alone vapour barrier. At 34ng/(Pa*s*m2), Boreal Nature Elite meets vapour barrier requirements of the National Building Code.

Both Boreal Nature Elite and Floraseal are environmentally responsible materials. They contain a high proportion of renewable and recyclable raw materials. They do not contain any ozone-depleting components, and, both products use recaptured rain water in the manufacturing process.

Unlike other insulating products, BOREAL Nature Elite polyurethane foam does not need to be removed after a flood. In most cases, it stays intact. Further, once dry, polyurethane foam retains the physical properties it had before the water infiltration.
